Advanced Prostate Health

Our Advanced Prostate Health Test looks beyond PSA alone to provide a more detailed assessment of prostate health and prostate cancer risk.

While Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) remains an important marker, it does not always provide the full picture when interpreted in isolation. This advanced panel combines PSA with additional prostate-related biomarkers to generate a more personalised assessment of risk.

Markers include:

  • Total Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
  • Prostate Cancer Risk Score
  • Interleukin-8 (IL-8)
  • Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 (MCP-1)

By assessing multiple markers together, the test can provide greater context around your results and help identify whether further clinical investigation may be appropriate.

What's included in the test?

This test includes a total of 4 Health Markers.

  • Total Prostate Specific Antigen (TPSA)

    The total PSA test measures the total amount of PSA in the blood, testing both free PSA and PSA bound to other proteins. 

  • Interleukin-8 (IL-8)

    Interleukin-8(IL-8) is a protein your immune system produces during infection or injury to help fight inflammation.

  • Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 (MCP-1)

    Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1) blood test measures the levels of MCP-1, a type of chemokine, in the blood. MCP-1 plays a role in inflammation and the recruitment of monocytes to sites of inflammation.

  • Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)

    An Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) test is used to detect mutations in the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) gene, which can be found in tumour cells.
